Full description
This beautiful kingfisher has been designed and handmade by myself at the Enchanted Glass Studio in the north of England.
It is made from the best quality stained glass (not painted glass - so will not fade) using the Louis Comfort Tiffany method of copper foiling and soldering.
The turquoise glass used for the wing and head of the kingfisher has an iridised coating -this gives the same effect as oil on water- beautiful to see but hard to capture in a photograph.
The kingfisher measures approx 150x150mm (6"x6") and when placed in a window the turquoise, orange and white glass beautifully capture the colours of the kingisher in the wild.
For the finishing touch I used a real piece of tree branch for the kingfisher to rest on.
This item would make a wonderful present and give daily pleasure to anyone who loves wildlife.
A window sucker/hook is supplied free with each item.
