A mixed media ACEO style picture, featuring crochet and bead work, sewn to a backed card, to ensure the cotton and yarn workings cannot be seen from behind.
Cherry blossom is one of the joys of Spring and as I am predominently a yarn crafter, rather than an artist, I felt a textural ACEO, with stylized pink cherry blossom on the branch, would suit my style of crafting.
The branches and the cherry blossom themselves, are enhanced with glass beads, red/pink in the centre of the blossom, and jade green on the branches, to simulate leaf buds, which are also edged with goldtone beads.
ACEO's measure approx 2.5 x 3.5 inches.
