I love this one, and am really tempted to keep it myself! I had no bamboo handles around so had to improvise with what I did have, and I think the colour combination and texture contrast work really well.
Down to details: the main bag is knitted in my favourite lovely 100% cotton Araucania yarn in a subtle mixture of greens (it is a bit more green than the photo shows). As one skein doesn't provide enough for handles too, I used a funky self-striping sock yarn from Regia for the top of the bag and for the flower. This yarn is a made of 75% wool and 25% nylon, and I love the colours!
The fabric I used for the lining has been in a cupboard for longer than I can remember so I was thrilled to be able to use it at last! It is a chintzy 100% cotton in blue with a pattern of white flowers.
The body of the bag is 26cm (10in) wide at the bottom and 20cm (8in) wide at the top,a nd measures 24cm (9.5in) high. The handles add an extra 12cm (4.5in) of height.
Like all my bags, this is a one-off and I promoise not to make another one the same! Please handwash and dry flat to keep it looking lovely.
