Sweetie Pink! Is a hand knitted and crocheted handbag, with clear facetted lucite bead strap, and detail to front of handbag, including pink dyed wood beads. The handbag has a short flap over front, with a single pink pearlised lucite button closure.
The inside of the handbag is fully lined with a bright vibrant pink satin style lining, which is all hand stitched.
This is a unique handmade item, fully hand knitted, crocheted and hand stitched by myself, to my own unique design.
The yarns used for this handbag are a thin bright pink 100% crochet cotton and a crisp white 55% Nylon, 45% Acrylic blend yarn, and they have been knitted together to form a mottled look and then the white yarn has been used to crochet the end panels and the edge the handbag.
The strap has been formed by hand stringing the clear facetted lucite beads onto a thick strong cotton thread and sewing to the side of the handbag, the beads have then been further secured by hand knotting the pink cotton along the length of the beads.
Due to the bead work, this handbag can be hand washed with care, but I would suggest shaping whislt damp and drying flat to retain its shape.
The handbag is roughly rectangular in shape, measuring approx 18cms in height, excluding the handle and approx 23cms in width, with a side panel depth of approx 4cms.
I love playing with yarns, knitting and crochet, and really enjoy creating unusual items from them.
