For the sewing/needlecraft narrowboat enthusiast, I have designed a beautiful vintage style needle book with a unique narrowboat photo that I've transposed on to fabric and then appliqued on to this completely handstitched treasure. With detailing in cotton braid and layers of blue ticking, topped with the tiniest little brown buttons,this book has four pages of soft fawn felt to hold an abundance of needles!
The spine is covered with an Emma Bridgewater style polkadot print braid, and detailed with some retro pompom braid for the final flourish! Hope you like it!!

As I'm thoroughly sick of finding nothing but roses and castles when I look for gifts for fellow boaters I think it's time I did something about it! I'm in the process of designing all kinds of things with a narrowboat theme or flavour, and this is the first textile item.
