Full description
A small, needle-felted panel depicting a coastal scene of beach, sea and sky, has been embroidered with gorse bushes, sea pink, coastal poppies and a moored boat!
Merino, and other wools, combined with mohair and silk fibres, have been needle felted to create a miniature background. The flowers are worked in embroidery threads using simple stitches.
The back of the brooch has been neatened with commercial felt. It has been stiffened by a layer of interfacing. A brooch pin is securely stitched in place.
