This unique wall hanging is turned from a piece of Beech and measures approximately 195mm x 120mm x 20mm (8"x5"x3/4").
This piece has been mounted twice on the lathe giving two turned patterns on the wood. The bark has been left down the one side and acrylic paints have been use to highlight the pattern of the woodturning , it has then been heavily scorched with a blow torch to darken the whole peice.
There is a brass hook on the back to mount it to the wall and the back has been heavily carved and textured away giving it it's own feel. This has been finished with a sanding sealer and a finishing oil.
It looks great on a plain wall and has quite a moody feel to it!
