I really, really love this album. It's so interesting how British punk was full of short, sharp sub 3-minute pop songs, whereas American punk was a bit more vague. Blondie could release a disco song and they were still part of the punk scene. And here, Television basically released a prog-rock album. A very tight, focused album but still very much displaying some prog characteristics - intricately worked out parts, unusual lyrics and epic, EPIC, guitar solos.
And it bloody works and IT'S STILL PUNK! Amazing.
