This tactile artwork evolved from a simple sketch of a landscape which was merely a guide for the building up of the first layers of texture which were then painted over with oils. It is a gentle and harmonious colour palette, with a curving movement to the shapes which are reminiscent of hills, although abstract in essence.It is a piece with many tiny details that emerge from the areas of semi transparent paint, giving the viewer lots to discover on closer inspection.
