My Wire Flower in a Round Vase is an original handmade mixed media artwork. The flower is sculptured from silver wire, with gold & copper coloured wire wrapped around for extra decoration & shine. For the wording just behind the wire flower I’ve typed the word flower, repeating it by using all the different computer fonts beginning with F, just to add a different visual dimension. I’ve used white tissue paper with gold flowers to add a bit of shimmer & to soften the wording. A natural & white flower patterned paper for the vase and flower’s leaves. The flower is mounted on brown wrapping paper textured with white gouache & acrylic paint which is mounted on white water coloured paper. Some of the paper’s edges have been torn to emphasize the paper texture. I’ve kept the background to white & neutral tones but the wire gives a glitzy glamour feel. My artwork will fit perfectly into any home, in more neutral décors but also in more colourful décors. My photographs have been taken to give you an idea of how versatile it can be. It can be hung on the wall or can sit on a shelf. It’ll need to lean against something if sitting on a shelf or bookcase. I’ve also made a Single Wire Flower artwork.
