The background fabric for the card has been eco printed using a collection of foliage. It is rolled up in the fabric and steamed so the pattern transfers onto the fabric and it is then thoroughly washed and dried before using. The resulting fabric has beautiful leafy patterns in a range of earthy hues. These backgrounds are perfect for embroidering onto. Inspiration often comes from my garden and my daily walks in the beautiful New Forest. I sketch and take photos and these are often used as a basis for my inked fabric backgrounds and embroidery designs.
