Item details

A Doric word for seed, or sprouting seed.

The first basket I wove in this style is the one I use to keep all my vegetable and flower seeds. There is also the seed of an idea within this basket. I have been playing with adding cordage to handles to add texture, interest and strength. Dandelion, daffodil and flag iris cordage from Skye has been woven into this basket, along with my Skye grown Flanders Red (orange) and Noire De Villaine (purple) willow varieties. This basket has a fairytale look to it and I am keen to experiment further with this.
