About this Make

A tree for any occasion...or just for the sake of having a tree!!

An elegant way of re-cycling your old paper backs

Dress it the way you like, i like mine with a bit o sparkle!

Materials required

* Old paper back books...different sizes if your planning a  forest!

* A sharp Craft knife

* Some strong glue

* Paperclips

* Glitter and and tree decorations you may fancy e.g. eggies for easter, flowers for spring, snowflakes for christmas or leaves or autumn....possibilities are endless!!

These were really popular back in the 1960's and 1970's (or so I am told ;) ) when they were made using old telephone directories. I think the use of old paperbacks is a much more useful size. Thanks for sharing.

Just made my first one and I love it. It's your fault that everyone I know will be getting tree ornaments pre-Christmas this year. With some coloured ink down the edges and just a smidge of glitter I will be able to co-ordinate these to the decor of the recipients. Yay
