Together - a bigger wooden book

This is a larger wooden book called 'Together' made from 3 wooden pages, hinged together and opening out in a concertina.

Five little birds have escaped their cages to be free together at last. The text reads:

"Complete happiness together. Yes, thank goodness. Together."

It's made from paper, paint and birch ply, with brass hinges. Each block is 12cm x 9cm x 1.8cm.

This is one of my little wooden books made from paper on birch ply.

I find a sentence or some words that I love, put them together, then design the pages to go with them. I like each page to work on it's own as well as being part of the finished book.

This is a 3 page book and it opens up in a concertina. The text reads: "It's illogical of course, but it's some comfort, don't you think so?"

Each page is 8cm x 6cm x 1.2cm

Something - a little wooden book

This is one of my little wooden books with cut-up pages and sentences all taken from the book 'The Middle Age of Mrs Eliot'.

I find a sentence or some words that I love, put them together, then design the pages to go with them.

I like each page to work on it's own as well as being part of the finished book. Each book is a labour of love.

This is a 5 page book (including cover) made of birch ply and paper and it opens up concertina-style.

The story reads: "There's something I have to tell you. Every love affair can get a bit stale; the galleries, the theatre, the opera and so on. It was true."

So here's a triptych version of my Red Balloon little wooden book and card, perfect for a child's bookshelf.
