Re-covered second hand books

My name is Rose and I am an artist living in London. One of the current projects I am working on is making hand made marbled paper. The idea to use this paper to cover books was inspired by my grandmothers bookshelves. She had re-covered many of her books using decorated paper and a simple folding method, giving a beautiful result.

Since I am interested in books, bookbinding and making decorative papers, I was very exited to bring them together and to try covering some books using this method myself.

I was also exited by the idea that this could be a way to recycle books by giving them a new life.

Most of the paper I use to marble on is recycled.

10% of the profit of each sale will be donated to Beanstalk, a charity helping children to read.
