I'm a freelance journalist based in London, and I'm never happier than when I'm pottering outdoors with my camera.

Here at The Copper Swallow you'll find handmade paper goods influenced by wildlife, my photography and the 1930s (hairy manila card is an ever-present feature!)

For every item you're kind enough to buy, £1 will be donated to the London Wildcare Trust. This amazing charity provides a professional wildlife care and treatment centre, helping thousands of sick, injured and orphaned wild animals found in the capital's streets, parks and gardens every year.

Why 'The Copper Swallow'? Well, I've got copper-coloured hair and I tend to zip here and there at half the speed of light. A bit like a swallow, in fact - although with a lot less grace...

My materials

I like to work with recycled and sustainably-sourced materials wherever possible, and all my pieces are created using recycled card (75-100% depending on the colour).

My photographs are professionally printed on FujiFilm Crystal Archive photographic paper, which means they are also suitable for framing and are guaranteed fade-resistant for 150 years (though you might not keep them for quite that long!)

All the accompanying materials I use are photo-safe, and I work in a pet-free and smoke-free home studio.

Payment

Payment is through PayPal and is due within three days.

If you don't have a PayPal account, don't worry; you can still pay via the service using a debit or credit card. Choose the PayPal option during checkout. After you’ve submitted your order, click on the ‘Pay Now’ button. Scroll down and you’ll see the option to pay with a credit or debit card WITHOUT having to sign up for a PayPal account.

Shipping

I post all orders within two days (usually 24 hours) of receipt of payment. I will send your items to your Folksy registered address.

Shipping within the UK is by Royal Mail First Class post, and overseas by Royal Mail Airmail. I always obtain proof of postage, and am also happy to provide postal insurance at an additional charge. If this is something you'd like, please contact me for details.

To keep your purchase safe during transit, small orders will be sent in hard-backed card mailers, and larger sets will be sent in well-padded and sealed jiffy bags.

Returns

I very much hope you're happy with your purchase. If you do have any concerns or wish to return items, please contact me within seven days of receiving them. Please return any all goods unopened and in their original condition, and I'll organise a full refund.
