My privacy policy

I PetPortraitsetc am the data-controller of your personal information as it relates to my shop.

When you place an order from me, I will receive your name, delivery address and email address from Folksy. I will only use these details to process and deliver your order, or deal with any queries you have related to that order. If you send me a message using the contact button on Folksy, I will receive your username and email address.

The only circumstances in which I will share your data are in processing your order or complying with the law. I will never use or pass on your information to third parties for marketing purposes or any other purpose, other than the circumstances listed below, or add you to any mailing list without your explicit consent. The circumstances in which I may share your data are:

• With Folksy to comply with my obligations.

• With delivery companies to fulfil your order.

• To comply with legal or tax obligations.

I will only retain your details for as long as necessary in order to process the transaction and I will securely store any data collected during that period. I retain personal data related to orders or customer queries for six years. After this time I will delete your data from my records.

You have the right to know what personal data I hold about you, and to ask for that data to be changed or deleted. You also have the right to complain to the ICO if you believe there is a problem with the way I handle your data.

About Pet Portraits etc

Pet Portraits etc - for a lasting memory of your much-loved pet

I have always loved to draw, and more recently, paint, and as an animal lover it was only natural for me to want to offer a Pet Portrait service. I love to paint and draw just about anything, as well as animals, so if you are looking to have a painting/drawing done of any subject whatsoever, then I may be able to help. I am very reasonably priced, and all I need is a photo of the subject you wish to have portrayed, and I will create a unique piece of art just for you.

I mostly paint in acrylic, but also draw in colour pencil, grey tone pencil, and paint/draw in pastels. The main surfaces I use are canvas, paper, mount board, acrylic board and card, but this is not a limited list. I also paint on slate, wood, quarry tiles, stones, and would be willing to try any feasible surface if requested.

I also love to create my own works of art, including paintings, drawings, slate key rings, slate fridge magnets, and greetings cards. Each and every one of my items are hand painted or hand drawn by myself, and I make my slate items myself from small slate chippings.

My inspiration for my work comes from just about anything that appeals to me! Usually it is my pets, wild animals & birds, and beautiful scenery. I live near the Lake District, so I have stunning scenery on my doorstep, and I am always wanting to pick up a brush or piece of sponge to paint the beautiful mountains and lakes!
