I have been making jewellery since 2009, and am largely self taught. My favourite material is fine silver, but I also employ traditional silversmithing techniques with sterling silver, and dabble in a bit of gold work when I can afford to.
I specialise in fine silver leaf work and creating pretty surface imprints and textures, but am often experimenting with new methods and materials, pushing the boundaries of what can be achieved at my kitchen worktop with a simple set of tools.
While thinking of a catchy name for my business, I glanced down at the enormous tabby cat on my lap...and Fat Cat Silver was born.
