Watercolour artist in the Southwest of England

I am a watercolour artist who started my watercolour journey later in life and I am so in love with this media that all I want is to paint. I want to create nice paintings, prints and cards for everyone who wants something a bit different and original. I don't follow all the rules as often I start to paint with just an idea in my head and I let my imagination just take over. I rarely paint by reference photos as it is all in my mind and sometimes I myself is surprised by the end result and I love that feeling. It's all about experimenting, learning, trying new ways and having as much fun as possible with this art form.

I love painting slightly moody landscapes and sometimes making them into little images that could fit a fairly tale. I am taken by Norwegian nature and mountains so these often appears one way or the other and I am also rather taken by English cottages and landscapes. It's all about capturing an atmosphere that hopefully others also can feel. I also love playing with very bright colours creating loose flower paintings. Sometimes it's not even specific flowers but imaginative colour splashes and the viewer themselves can decide what all the different flowers are.

I only use quality watercolour paper and paint and my go to brand is Winsor and Newton a traditional UK manufacturer of quality paper and paints for years and years. I also love Arches paper which I also often use. My prints and cards are printed by a professional print shop located in Bristol and all prints are fine art Giclee prints.
