In my working life I was a psychiatric practitioner and I often advised people to use art as a way of expessing their feelings, and I always found it to be relaxing in what could, at times. be a stressful profession . I experiment with different meduims as you see in my shop and I believe that ,for me, the different means keeps my interest peaked . Now that I have retired I have more time to devote to it and I am lucky enough to live on the edge of the Peak District I have views of the surrounding hills which are constantly changing as the seasons and storms drift by. I love the changing skies in particular, the thought that when drawing or painting them that they've never looked exactly like that before, or will again. That is why you will rarely find me out on a sunny day with a clear blue sky look for me in a storm .Moods peak my interest moody skies or the mysterious quiet, contemplations of people or animals the euphoria of a musician caught up in their performance ,the determination of a hunter. Or competitor. I hope you enjoy looking at my work, but don't look for blue skies in my landscapes or forced smiles in a portrait.
