Maker of doggie bow ties

I’ve been a crafter for most of my life and started learning how to knit (not very successfully) at around 5 years old as my mum is a keen knitter/cross stitcher. Sadly I’m not good at either of those so fortunately found a love for exploring other crafts. Having been cabin crew for 23 years, I’ve taken inspiration from my travels. I’ve made items from driftwood/seashells, fabric, paper craft and cork, just to name a few.
I’ve always had a love for making things and love seeing people smile when they buy them.
The past 7 years, each year, I make approx 700 reindeers out of cork and have now expanded into making mice and bears too. I regularly attend craft fairs with these as found sadly they don’t always survive the handling of the postal service. If you are local to West Sussex (or visiting) you’ll find me at many a craft fair between Oct-Dec.
I’ve been sewing for most of my adult life on & off and completed a year long course to learn how to make all sorts of curtains and blinds. Certainly my biggest challenge to date sewing wise.
I decided to make doggie bow ties as I am now a proud dog mum of a beautiful Fox Red Labrador called Rodney. I started making the bow ties just for him but whilst attending numerous dog training sessions, social walks etc, I kept being asked where I brought them from as everyone loves them. Hence Rodney’s Bowtique was launched. My bow ties have so far made it across the world as far as South Africa!
