The first time I had ever encountered silkscreen printing was in an art lesson at secondary school where I learnt how to screen print onto fabric. I remember being fascinated by the equipment and of how satisfied I felt about my achievement. I continued to study art up until I started university where I decided to follow a career path in Business and Information Technology. After taking a career break to raise a family, I attended some refresher training in silkscreen printing at a nearby university and have not looked back since!
My designs are inspired by flowers and old fashioned objects I stumble across. I love still life, light and tone and aim to include these in all my designs. I love to create colourful prints in my studio, overlooking the garden where a patch of strawberry plants grow just outside the window.
